So I'm 21 and my girlfriend is a senior in high school (18). Her school has a rule that dates who are not current students cannot be over 20 years old, meaning I cannot go to her prom. She didn't exactly say it but I know she was upset about this. I tried to convince her to go without me but she brought up some pretty good points about why she'd rather not. So I told her I'd plan something for us to do that night. My original idea was to have a picnic on the lake front for lunch, then head down to Chicago for a White Sox game (which is also firework night), and end the night with a Ferris Wheel ride at Navy Pier. However, the weather kind of screwed me and it is going to be pretty chilly (high 46 degrees). Am I worrying too much about the weather? I place all the blame on the Redskins for a few reasons. One year in and out they had a different coach and different offensive coordinator which made it hard for him to get completely comfortable with the offense from year to year. Two they didn't put enough trust in him when they did let him run the offense but then again well it's as if he wasn't running the offense when he couldn't even call an audible at the line of scrimmage without looking to the sidelines first.

Old ways of cleaning vs. new ways. Which is better?

Now we have all these innovations in cleaning to make our job cleaning the house easier. Swiffer mops (and sweepers), Lysol wipes, Windex wipes, toilet brushes w/ disposable heads (some that can even flush down the toilet!), ect... I hate to spend the extra money that these things cost, but I find myself feeling the need to use them just for the fact that they are more sanitary in many instances. I keep hearing that sponges harbor bacteria, so I use the Lysol wipes. I can't stand the thought of keeping and reusing something that I've put in my toilet, so I use the ones with the disposable heads. Mop heads get really gross, so I use swiffer. I find that I spend more money for these things, and money is tight with us, but I don't know any other way that is so sanitary. What do you think?

Worried about university?

Someone at uni on my course is causing me some alarm and worry. Now I might just be getting paranoid and this person my be wrong about this person, but I really don’t like what he’s doing. He’s goes to all lecturers and talks and winches about his problems, all the time. When we have work to hand in. He’s says to lecturer we are handing it in for, oh sir, I had this, that and the over on, this deadline and that deadline, and this bad thing happened to me, etc, etc, all at the same time of this deadline. Almost trying to persuade the lecturer into being more sympathetic towards him when marking his work. Pretty much like he’s bribing the teacher into giving him a higher mark. What I’m worried about, is that this feeds the notion that he’s had it rough, so therefore he should get a higher mark, where as because I and other people the cl don’t brag to the world about our problems, (which we do have by the way!) we should get more scrutiny over our results. So, what I want to know is, does the lecturer mark your work on the basis of what you’ve done and how good it is, or can it be influenced by someone else’s situation? What do you think? They are trying to sit on the fence between appeasing the majority of Americans and not actually committing to pulling troops out of Iraq. Since most Americans want the troops to start coming home, a token 5,000 with a possible bring home the surge soldiers by next summer semi-promise (based on the progress in Iraq which is naturally essed by the military) will hopefully appease us. My Red Eared Slider turtles arent eating, Please HELP!!?

I have two rather small (probaly baby) Red Eared Slider turtles. They are in a 20 gallon aquarium made especially for turles. They have a filter, and a floating basking rock. When I got them, they were in a tiny little box..and were only being fed these rather nasty looking pellets. They swim around, and dont seem to be too unhappy at this point in time, but they wont seem to eat. I have tried lettuce, natural aquatic turtle food(pellets) and Turtle Treats which is like I believe Krill. I have never had a turtle before, and I am concerned about them not eating. I leave the food in the aquarium, and in the water to soften for 1 hour, and there is no response. Someone please help me.

Hi I am 22 years old & since the past 4 years i am literally going through loads of crap in my life. In the past 4 years i was in 2 relationships and I loved both of them. In the first realn our breakup hapnd as my girl then suffered frm a mental ailment something like schrizo I was very serious about her bt then things had to end bitterly. After a year I met this girl who was older than me and she also loved me bt things ended bitterly there also as she moved out to another country to study, In the beginning we did manage a long dist realn but later she dint feel the same fr me anymre. I was actually a disaster for me and took me 2 full years to actually move on, those two years were the toughest 2 years of my life as i was even having family problems. I lost out on a lot, experienced lonliness. My modelling career stoped as I lost interest in it after this but duringt this time i never suffered on my grades i kept getting first cl grades.My studies were not at all affected. But that feeling of emptiness kept on haunting me. After those two years I finally started getting bak on my feet but then this girl came into my life who loves me a lot but she says she wont be able to continue due to some personal issues of her bt she reaaly does love me and wants to be with me. She says its nt my fault infact she herself says that its her fault. Looking at things positively I am a smart guy, young, good looking but some how i feel paralysed and i feel im incapapble of doing anything. The long part of the story, short is that I have a friend with benefits relationship with this guy. We have become pretty great friends since it all began, we were at one point just F*ck buddies. At one point he hinted at wanting more at which point I did not. Then somewhere along the line, this changed and the roles reversed. He was not interested in having a relationship at all other than what we were doing, do to past heartache he had yet to deal with and I on the other hand was ready for one. During the whole course of this we have both talked openly about having a relationship, saying it’s something we want but not timely, etc. But also during this he has wanted his ex back and has tried very hard to make this happen. I help him; I give him advice, a female perspective and help him to see other viewpoints. It’s hard on me when I do this, but I know I’m not doing it for any other reason than to help him. Acne help! I have trouble spots on my cheeks that won't go away!?

i had really hideous acne on my neck and jaw from when i shaved for the first time and they didn't go away until i was in the tenth grade. I thank my doctor who prescribed me Adaplene cream, Clyndamicin gel and 10% sodium sulfacetamide 5% sulfur lotion. i aslo had to drink Minocyclin pills but they went away and the acne that waso n the rest of my face( nose, and a little on cheeks) was gone. i use the sulfur W/ sodium sulfacetamide on my face and the other two on my neck and jaw area. They went away in like 6 months but that was a huge relief from having the for like 3 and a half years.

Girls, Am I Being Strung Along?

About 8 months ago, we talked about a possible relationship we both came to the conclusion we are not wanting or ready for a relationship. So, we have been friends and we have gone out to dinners that pretty much I have volunteered to foot the bill. I decided to throw her a birthday party and invited my friends as well as hers. Again, I decided to foot the bill for all her drinks. Needless to say, she got way too drunk and I ended up taking care of her til she got home. When we left the bar, she gave me a big hug, thanked me, and asked me where her kiss was. I ended up kissing her and I ended up driving her home along with my friends. While driving home, she grabbed my hand and held it all the way back home. When I dropped her off, I helped her in and we hugged again. After that, she asked for a kiss again and we did. So, after chatting with her today, she seems to not remember any of this and I am actually kind of hesitant to bring this up to her. So, does this just mean that she does like me but needs alcohol to get the courage to make the moves or it is the sort of thing that I am someone she knows that she feels comfortable with. BTW, we haven't held hands or kissed when she has been sober. We have only hugged. The other thing I noticed was that afterwards, she posted onto Facebook a special thanks to me for throwing her the party and specifically said that I am awesome. Also, we have had physical contact like her holding onto my arm after one of the dinners and her grabbing my hands to put around her. My friend thinks that she is pulling a mimic act where she will only show the same amount of interest I show. My feeling is that I am a willing person to essentially watch her and take care of her/pay for her. It is sort of a "I am the in-between guy" til someone comes along. In her defense, she pays for her mom, sister, and two kids to live where they do. Again though her explanation back when we started involved comments like "A relationship is something I can't give" and "I think there is a right time for everything and it isn't the right time for me". I can see the sincerity but I just look at it from me friend's standpoint of if she found a guy, we would probably stop talking. About a week later, we went out for pool with my younger brother and even though we had a good time, she stool next to me at times while standing a few feet away at others. My co-workers said that it was because my brother was there. Also, after we finished, it was pouring down rain and I took off my jacket for her and when we got back to the car, she gave it back to me..........no thank you or anything.....WTF......Let me know what you girls think! For almost a week now I have been sick. It started off feeling like I was getting the flu. Then the eye infection started and the sore throat. I do cough some (sometimes more than others) and the eye only looks mildy red during the day but get really watery and crusts close at night. My throat is really sore when I swallow so I've been taking pain relievers. I have had no fever. Only minor congestion and that's only during the night and for a bit in the morning. I feel run down. My son had strep about a month ago that was followed by a cold (with the eye infection).. He was well within a few days though..Is it worth a trip to the doctor or should I wait it out some more?

I'm planning on buying a new laptop. I've had a toshiba (satellite) for almost four years and it's been pretty good so i'm inclined to stick with them but I'm open to suggestions. I need something light. I'm soooo tired of lugging around the heavy laptop I have now. I'm a student at Uni if that makes a difference. Menopausel symptoms?

Feeling down in the dumps after a visit to my gynae in my Country of Cyprus and the language barrier doesn’t help. Blood tests confirmed began menopause but I understood her to say that because I still have eastrogen but haven’t had a period for 4 months its dangerous for my body and something can become enlarged and so an examination must take place and she would give me some medication to bring back my period. My stepmom overpowers my dad and she is controlling, what should I do?

I have always been the "perfect" child compared to my sisters. My dad got remarried when I was 8 so I have lived my stepmom for the last 11 years. My mom does not have a dominant role in my life and my dad is very pive. My stepmom will yell at me about anything and my dad will just sit there and not say a word. I have a Bet Hound who is overweight (just like her owner).?

My Bet Hound Dixie is overweight. She was given to me about a year ago, and I love the dog to death. But she is getting fatter by the day. She excersises and I have been feeding her low calorie dog food. But she paces and whines all night and day wanting more and more food. She will go to great lengths to get something to eat. She is not normallly a destructive dog but she tore off the rubber seal from my refrigerator and got into the refrigerator and ate just about everything the other night. She sleeps with me normally but I had to crate her up to prevent her eating escapades as I am a sound sleeper. She really loves greenbeans straight from the can warmed up and I have been feeding her those in addition to her dog food she drinks plenty of water and all but you cannot fill her up. The vets solution is to feed her less and excersise. Dixie's solution is to be sneakier and get her food anyway. Any suggestions or reasons why shes so hungry? She has been fixed.

Mold exposure in home?

About a month ago I woke up and smelled mold in my house. My husband took the paneling off the wall where we smelled it, sprayed bleach water all over, but we never could actually see the mold. We haven't smelled it since, and he's fixed the leak in the roof. Sometimes I get a little tickle in my nose, but not often, and for about 5-6 weeks now I've had a bit of chest discomfort (which seems to be getting somewhat better), although I did start a workout regimen 8 weeks ago, so I'm not sure if the chest thing is related to my working out or possibly mold. So my question is...since I'm still in the same house every day where we smelled mold, if it were still around and I was exposed to it constantly, would I be very sick? Or since we've not smelled it since would that mean it's gone? We also bought a Hepa air purifier since we read they are supposed to help.

Now my iPod Touch has a p code on it (4-digit numeric code) and its stopped working. When I turn it on it gives me the symbol to plug my iPod into itunes. Now when i hook it up to my computer it says i must enter my p code but when i turn the iPod itself on it still haves the symbol with no way to enter my code.
