Why won't it go in sometimes?

Take the key to a local key cuttler my local one does car and bike keys too. If you keep putting WD40 or any thing like it in there your key may snap off in the lock. If all else fails you will have to replace it either with the same unit if you find one or a new ignition and I think the car would not be worth that. Try a new key first mate.Good luck.
