Does he want me to call him?

kind of a work related situation and probably reading too much into it since I do that all the time. one of the managers wants me to come in on my day off to finish up whatever work we didn't finish and told me to call him before I come in. I asked him should I call the store or call his cell and he said either one, and that I have his number. Why would he said that if he didn't want me to call him more often or as a reminder that I do have his number. This guy is different and is the only manager that I have their cell number. He texted me once outside of work and he knows I have a crush on him even though that kind of ped by now and I got the feeling that he was/is into me too. I talked to another female employee about him texting and she said she never got a text from him and heard of other female employees getting texts from him. So sorry for the long question but I feel I need to explain the background to it and just wondering what it means when a guy says to a girl "you have my number" and if subtly he wants me to use it more often even though I haven't texted him in weeks because I was trying to let my crush on him p.
