What kind of virus causes sore throat, conjunctivitis, and no fever?

For almost a week now I have been sick. It started off feeling like I was getting the flu. Then the eye infection started and the sore throat. I do cough some (sometimes more than others) and the eye only looks mildy red during the day but get really watery and crusts close at night. My throat is really sore when I swallow so I've been taking pain relievers. I have had no fever. Only minor congestion and that's only during the night and for a bit in the morning. I feel run down. My son had strep about a month ago that was followed by a cold (with the eye infection).. He was well within a few days though..Is it worth a trip to the doctor or should I wait it out some more?
