Did you forgo attending Mardi Gras this year because of the Great Recession?

Yes. I usually go celebrate it every year, but just didn't have enough cash this time around for the small road trip. But I celebrated it locally in my own special way (i.e., by getting hammered). I still ended up getting beads, king cake, charity and all the usual trimmings locally.
