Can you get a degree before med school? Other medical school questions?

Well I know to be a peditrician you have to go to 4 years of college before medical school :/ while in college can you get a seperate degree? Also, if you got a 4 year degree done quicker with summer cles and etc. would it count for 4 years?? Duhh? Lol idkk.... And would it lower your chances of getting into medical school if you took a 3 year break after college to pro rodeo?
