How much money should i save up for thailand?

Ok, so me and my friend are saving up to go to bangkok, thailand. Airfare is about one thousand. i was thinking about an additional 500 dollars each. We are both 19 and plan to visit friends, party at a clean club, do some shopping, and sight seeing. Although there is a lot to see in Bangkok, we also want to relax and not be so touristy. We plan on eating local food and hanging out with friends from the city. How much should we have to spend?
