Plastic pool cover has slime on it. What can I use to get it off?

I haven't used my pool in ages and I'm trying to get my husband to allow me to take it down now without a fight. He's being a big baby and a prick. My pool cover is on my pool, but there's a film that feels slimy on it. I washed it down last week with bleach water and dish soap. That took most of it off. I just want something that will be easier to do (less suds, less bleach smell, etc.). Thanks!
